Canadian comedian Vik Sahay got his start in the business in the late 1980s, making his early appearances in the Canadian sketch comedy series You Can’t Do That on Television. He had intermittent acting roles throughout more of the 1990s, notably providing the voice for Michael Patterson in a series of television movies adapted from the comic strip For Better or For Worse. After appearing in movies such as Hollow Point and Good Will Hunting, he eventually got his first regular television role, appearing in the teen series Radio Active from 1998 to 1999.
Sahay then starred in two acclaimed Canadian television programs. In 2000, he appeared in the teen drama Our Hero, which won several awards from the Writers’ Guild of Canada. Four years later, he appeared in another acclaimed series, the legal drama This is Wonderland, which received twelve Gemini nominations and four Gemini wins in its two-year run. Apart from appearing in films such as Wings of Hope, Fast Food High and Running Towards Tomorrow, he began appearing as a guest on several American television shows, such as Las Vegas and Without a Trace.
Sahay eventually got his first regular stint on American television, when he joined the cast of the action-comedy series Chuck. The series, which premiered in 2007 on an initial limited run, saw him play Lester, one of the colleagues of Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi) at the local Buy More’s Nerd Herd. The series was a considerable success, and has been renewed for a full season the following year.
