8. “The Crowded Room” (2023)

Now this series threw me for a loop! Brilliantly written by Akiva Goldsman, the riveting short series is based on a true story. 

The story is that of the first person with dissociative identity disorder, Danny Sullivan (Tom Holland). 

The series is set in the 1970/80’s and follows Rya Goodwin (Amanda Seyfried), an interrogator looking for answers after a brutal shooting in New York City.

I was utterly captivated by the twists and revelations of this series! Not only is it filled with talented actors and skillful writing but the dark overtone and mystery drew me in and needed answers too!

9. “Black Snow”(2022)

Who doesn’t love a good mystery? Better yet, who doesn’t love getting unexpected answers? Because I sure do.

As an advent detective and murder mystery lover, I can undoubtedly say that this 6 part series satisfied my admiration for the niche. 

An old time capsule buried in the 1990s sparks opened in the present day, 2019, sparks the exciting journey for a detective thirsty for answers. 

I was engulfed, and the series reveals unexpected secrets of not just the unsolved murder of a young woman but of the town itself!

10. “Obsession” (2023)

Nothing beats getting sucked into a nail-biting drama! I love series such as “Obsession” as it portrays a realistic situation that helps you relate to and understand the characters’ emotions. 

The short but worthwhile series follows a seemingly happy family. However, trouble strikes when renowned doctor William Barrow (Richard Armitage) starts a heated affair with his son’s soon-to-be bride, Anna (Charlie Murphy).

This affair prompts a suspenseful and fatal obsession which I found highly thrilling to follow! I finished all four episodes within a night as I couldn’t keep my eyes off the screen and needed to know the unexpected ending.
