William Hernandez was featured as a member of the cast in the fifteenth season of the hit MTV reality television series The Real World, which was set in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During the time of the show, he was 23 years old. Hernandez is an actor and a native of New York City who was born on November 20, 1979, into a family of Puerto Rican heritage. During the early 90s, he appeared as a child actor in the PBS television series Ghostwriter from 1993 to 1995, where he was credited as Hector Carrero. But when he was 15 years old, he was kicked out of the house by his parents because of his homosexual orientation, and because they were strongly religious.
Ever since then, however, he has managed to make at least some amends with his mother. Hernandez has a twin brother named Wesley, and they are the oldest among five brothers and one sister, with all of the siblings still remaining close to each other. Hernandez also has two half-siblings, and his family lives in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. He has admitted that he can be rather stubborn, and likewise maintains a confrontational attitude. He has also acted in commercials as well as musical theater.
