Actress Virginia Madsen made her debut in 1983 in the movie The Class and and has since appeared in over 80 films and TV shows. She has also earned numerous awards over the years.
From 1984 to 1988, Madsen concentrated on working on the big screen as she was cast in Electric Dreams, Dune, Fire with Fire, Modern Girls, Slam Dance, Zombie High and Hot to Trot. She briefly returned to the small screen to play Lorraine Anne "Annie" Charnock on Moonlighting and then went back to the big screen to be part of a series of projects such as The Prophecy, Becoming Colette, Ghosts of Mississippi, The Rainmaker and Candy Man, which earned her an award.
In 2002, Madsen was cast as Rebecca Sandstrom on the drama series American Dreams. She appeared in 14 episodes before moving on to play Maya in the movie Sideways, which earned her massive nominations and awards from various award-giving bodies.
Madsen's most recent TV roles include Hope Stevens on Smith, T.K. Jensen on Monk, Cheryl West on Scoundrels and Senator Catherine Lewis on The Event.
