Très Bien! is featured as one of the Top 12 bands in the Fox network’s competitive reality television series The Next Great American Band. It is a group which describes itself as a mix of indie, garage, and rock music genres. They originate from Clearwater, Florida, and have also been pegged as being similar to the Beatles with a power pop flavor. Très Bien!’s members consist of Mikey Bostinto as the lead vocalist, guitarist and keyboard player; Cody Wilson as a backup vocalist and bass player; Michael James Crowe on the lead guitar and harmonies; and Ryan Parker Metcalf rounding out the roster as their resident drummer.
Crowe first got to know Wilson back in August 2001, when the two of them were supposed to get into a fight with each other. They later on formed a group known as Tocar La Guitara, and Crowe began learning how to play the guitar. During the following year in 2002, Bostinto and Wilson came together to form a group known as This Black Vegas, a short-lived hardcore band. Around this time, the two of them also began crafting future Très Bien! songs, such as “The Goods,” “Got My Way,” and “I Wouldn’t Dare.” After hearing them perform, Crowe and Metcalf also wanted to join.
