Canadian actress Thea Gill was born on April 5, 1970 in Vancouver, British Columbia. She attended an all-girls private school and then York University in Toronto, Ontario, graduating with a BFA Honors in Theatre Performance. Thea Gill has worked on several television series such as Forever Knight, Kung Fu: The Legend Continues, Bliss, Andromeda, The Collector, and Dante's Cove. She's also appeared in the films Bubbles Galore, Papertrail, Washed Up, and Seed. She won a Leo Award for her guest performance in The Collector, and apart from acting, is also a talented jazz singer. According to interviews, Thea Gill considers herself bisexual.

. The domestic partner of Melanie, she is the mother of Gus through artificial insemination as well as the adoptive mother of Jenny Rebecca. Though Brian initially donated his sperm to her without considering fatherhood, he later on tries to be more active in his son's life, causing friction between him, Lindsay and Melanie. Lindsay works as an art curator at a museum, and also befriends Brian's erstwhile lover Justin. Eventually, however, Lindsay has an affair with an artist named Sam, causing her and Melanie to separate.
