Hailing from Chicago, Terri Stevens was a freelance stylist and designer before she became a contestant in Project Runway. She has also worked as an assistant designer to Barbara Bates, a stylist and merchandiser for Nordstrom and Levi’s regional visual manager. Terri favors low-waist, bell-cut black pants, and lists Karl Lagerfeld as her biggest inspiration. She is also fond of designers Jean-Paul Gaultier and Cristobal Balenciaga.
Terri’s determination was seen when she attended Columbia College and formed her own fashion organization. Through it, students would be able to display and debut their designs, feature them in competitions and exhibitions. She has also staged an annual fashion show for the organization. Terri has also worked as a visual manager for Victoria’s Secret. She plans on using Project Runway as a vessel for her designs to break out in the market. Her style is eclectic and funky, something that compliments her personality.
