Multi-talented thespian Steve Van Zandt was born on November 22, 1950. Steve, who is also a musician and a disc jockey among other things, is prominently identified as a member of E Street Band, fronted by Bruce Springsteen. The Italian American actor was born Steven Lento, and took his stepfather's last name when he was still young. He successfully managed both his musical and acting career, still engaging in music production while shooting The Sopranos.
Van Zandt is also the acclaimed record producer of Bruce Springsteen, Southside, Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, Artists United Against Apartheid, Darlene Love, Lone Justice, Gary US Bonds, Michael Monroe, Lords of the New Church and the Arc Angels. Meanwhile, he has written songs for Jimmy Cliff, Southside Johnny, Brian Setzer, and the Darlene Love. He also has his own little band called Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul.
