Biography

Actress Sharon Gless first appeared as an extra in the 1970 movie Night Slaves but has since starred in numerous films and TV shows, not to mention acquired several awards and nominations throughout her career. Some of her early works include roles on Marcus Welby, M.D., Faraday and Company, Switch, Centennial, Turnabout, House Calls and Cagney & Lacey, where she became a household name as the character Det. Sgt. Christine Cagney. In 1990, she was cast in yet another lead role. She played Rosie O'Neill on The Trials of Rosie O'Neill while simultaneously reprising her role as Cageny on several Cagney & Lacey feature films.

Gless also became part of the cast of Queer as Folk as Debbie Novotny, The State Within as Lynne Warner and Nip/Tuck as Colleen Rose. At present, she lingers on the TV circuit as Madeline Westen on the spy series Burn Notice.
