Ryan "Matsuflex" Matsunaga became known as a contestant on VH1’s Tool Academy. He was given the nickname “Naked Tool”. During the show, his girlfriend was Jenna Fenton. However, when he gets into his alter-ego he sheds his kind and caring persona. He then vies for the attention of women and becomes more self-centered as time passes by. Throughout the competition, he tried to prove that he could change and he did, becoming the runner-up of season 1. He dropped his nickname and continued his relationship with his girlfriend.
