Robert Gossett began his acting career fresh out of high school, when he appeared in a stage production of "One Flew Over A Cuckoo's Nest". Much of his best work was on stage; he won an NAACP Theater Award and a Dramalogue Award for his portrayal in the play "Indigo Blues". He also appeared in the Broadway run of "Fences", and in other stage productions across the country.
Gossett also appeared on screen, having joined films such as "Arlington Road" and "The Net:. He also had extensive work in television, holding recurring roles in "Silk Stalkings", "Dark Angel" and "Beverly Hills 90210". In 2005, he joined the cast of the TNT series "The Closer".
Currently, Gossett stars in the new TNT drama,
Major Crimes.
