Born on March 12, 1979, Rhys Coiro received his BFA degree from the Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Drama in 2002. He quickly began pursuing an acting career since, starting off on stage, and later debuting on screen. He began with a bit part in the 2003 comedy Making Revolution, before staging his television debut through a guest part in the series One on One the same year. His first prominent role came in 2004, when he took a recurring role in the HBO comedy Entourage, in which he played Billy Walsh, the intimidating and self-centered indie film director.
Coiro’s first appearances were, nevertheless, centered on guest television roles, including a two-episode run on the ABC comedy Ugly Betty. He only returned to films in 2007, with Look; he eventually starred in other films such as Mama’s Boy, Draw and Glock. In 2009, after wrapping up shooting for the thriller The Unborn, he began appearing on the action series 24, playing FBI agent Sean Hillinger.
Most recently, he was cast in movie Straw Dogs and MacGruber.
