Nicolina Royale is a designer from Minneapolis who joined the cast of Project Accessory season 1. She has a distinct rebel artistry and specializes in leather rock n' roll accessories. Some of her celebrity clients include Steven Tyler, Miley Cyrus and Rihanna.
Growing up, Nicolina used to compete in beauty pageants where she eventually took inspiration from the crowns that she won, using it in her logo and designs. She studied at the University of Minnesota as journalism major with an art minor before moving to Los Angeles where she landed an unpaid internship at Entertainment Tonight. Simultaneously, she worked as a waitress at The Rainbow Bar & Grill on Sunset Strip. Thanks to encounters with Nancy Sinatra and CC Deville of Poison, Nicolina started to make rocker-inspired jewelry. Her designs consist of fine leathers, exotic skins, studs and crystals-- something that eventually caught the attention of Bloomingdales, which currently sells her work.
“I love how a strong, bold cuff can bring out a woman's confidence, how a sparkly Swarovski ring makes me feel like a sexy vixen, and a statement necklace draws attention to the face—all the while making a woman stand out in a crowd.”
