Michael Terry took up cinematography and drama at Emerson College in Boston, and later became an apprentice at the Williamstown Theatre Festival. He later moved to Los Angeles to work with the Blank Theatre Company. His first on-screen credit was a guest appearance on a 2005 episode of Cold Case. He later appeared in shows such as Veronica Mars, CSI: NY and Eleventh Hour, as well as the movies The Assistants and Post Grad. In 2008, he took a recurring role in the Fox series Bones.
