Born in Park Forest, Illinois on October 28, 1960 but now residing in Los Angeles, California, Mark Derwin is an actor best known for his role in daytime soaps and his role as the spouse of Bonnie Hunt on Life with Bonnie.
Before settling in California, Mark Derwin briefly attended State University of New York at Cobleskill but was kicked out after one semester. He then worked several odd jobs, including one for IBM. In LA, he went on to have a prolific career doing commercials. In 1989, he landed a role on the daytime soap The Young and the Restless and then recurring roles on the shows hardball and Days of our Lives.
In 1990, Mark Derwin landed another role on the long-running soap Guiding Light where he played a detective. His character evolved to become a leading character, where Derwin got romantically involved with his costar Beth Ehlers. The two decided to leave the show together in 1993 but the two broke up soon, anyway. His return to daytime television came via another soap opera One Life to Live which extended until 2004. He then shifted to primetime in the sitcom Life with Bonnie.
Mark Derwin plays the role of George Juergens on the ABC series The Secret Life of the American Teenager.
