Eleven-year-old Madison of El Paso, Texas admires Will Smith and Miley Cyrus as her role models and enjoys watching The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Hannah Montana. An aspiring actress, she also looks up to Dakota Fanning. She believes that pollution and politics are major problems in the world and that people should really stop littering. Madison also wants to make fuel out of water, to avoid polluting the air.
Madison is among 40 kids participating in CBS' Kid Nation, which is set in the barren Bonanza City, New Mexico. The youth are then tasked to establish their own community, complete with governance and economy. In doing so, they must overcome their childhood emotions to be able to properly handle adult issues. Every episode, a child would be rewarded with a gold star worth $20,000.
