Born on January 4, 1985 in Westminster, London, England, Lenora Crichlow is an actress who stars as Annie, a talkative ghost lacking in self-confidence who shares a flat with a vampire and a werewolf in the BBC America series Being Human. She serves as the replacement for Andrea Riseborough, who had played the character in the pilot.
Crichlow’s father hails from the island of Trinidad in the Caribbean while her mother is English. She has a younger sister named Amandla Crichlow, who is also an actress and has appeared in Prime Suspect: The Final Act.
Having trained with the Young Blood Theatre Company, Crichlow made her first film appearance in the small-budget UK horror film Wilderness, which was released in August 2006. She was then cast in the UK TV police drama The Bill and starred as Maria “Sugar” Sweet in Channel 4's adaptation of the Julie Burchill novel Sugar Rush, which won the 2006 International Emmy Award in the “Children And Young People” category.
Crichlow’s other credits include appearances in Doctor Who, Kiss of Death and the BBC series Material Girl.
