Born on July 15, 1980, Kelli Martin turned to fashion design when she was 15, trying to escape the mundane elements of life, and creating a unique look for herself. She grew up in Columbus, Ohio and fought her way to receive a scholarship from Bob Mackie at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise. Her education in the Los Angeles school led her to be accepted to its Advanced Design Program. In 2006, she was able to design and show a small collection for her requirements.
During Los Angeles Fashion Week, Kelli designed a guitar for Kevan Hall. She has also started her own empire, Black Market, which became a cutting edge boutique in her hometown. Kelli is also the designer and owner of Anti.Label, which was founded in 1999. She has had a profitable audience on Ebay since 2000. She joined Project Runway to gain more exposure for her work, as well as improve her craft. Kelli is also a big fan of Thierry Mugler, Yohji Yamamoto and Betsey Johnson.
