At six feet five inches, Jeffrey Vaden is not your average cook. This White Plains, New York native did not originally want to venture into food, graduating with a degree in political science and English from Howard University. He was drawn to cooking because he said it brings out his creativity. Thus, he went to The Culinary Institute of America to get formal training. Previously, he has managed his own restaurant and catering business and was even a TV intern once.

The Next Food Network Star season 4. Hosted by Marc Summers, it is a reality show in search for the next gourmet masters to host their own show in the Food Network. His favorite food is good old ice cream and he dislikes using artificial sweeteners on the dishes he prepares. On why he should he deserves to win, he says he knows a lot about food and can demonstrate this well. He also describes himself as fresh and exciting, and, most importantly, the camera loves him.
