Biography

Canadian film and television actor Jeff Geddis was born on June 28, 1975 in Thunder Bay, Ontario. He grew up in Pickering, Ontario, where he got involved in competitive swimming. He was also very passionate about the performing arts, immersing himself in the theater program of Dunbarton High School. Later on, he graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours degree in Acting.

Jeff Geddis started out small, appearing in an episode of Exhibit A: Secrets of Forensic Science in 1999. His next project was PSI Factor: Chronicles of the Paranormal, playing the character Reuben Galeno. In 2000, he gained popularity for his role as Mike Nesmith on VH1’s Daydream Believers: The Monkees’ Story. He then appeared as Skip on an episode of The Famous Jett Jackson, before playing Crash on Earth: Final Conflict. Geddis then snagged a role on Twice in a Lifetime, then on Shotgun Love Dolls in 2001. After working on the TV movie A Mother’s Fight for Justice, he was cast as Pvt. Johnson on the movie Jason X. Also that year, he was seen on Murder Among Friends, ‘Twas the Night, and later in Bleacher Bums. In 2003, he played Ethan Slattery on two episodes of Odyssey 5. This was followed by the film Crime Spree, then Monster Island. It was in 2006 that he portrayed a recurring character named Jeremy on Beautiful People. The next year, he landed a part on Your Beautiful Cul de Sac Home, and later in Tkaronto. He starred as Mr. Andrew Shepherd on the 2008 series The Latest Buzz, and became known as the gay best friend of the lead character in the ABC Family series Sophie. His role as Matt Scott on the Canadian TV show is that of Sophie’s confidant, who has trouble committing in relationships.

Other than acting, Jeff Geddis has also dabbled in writing. He has penned a novel, as well as several screenplays with his partner Eric Hempsall.
