Proclaiming himself to be the sexiest Asian on the planet has done wonders for J Boogie’s confidence. He works in a lab when the sun is up, but reverts to his original G persona when night comes. His drab day job has not stopped him from being a natural G, but it might take him on a wild ride to become a gentleman.
Also known as Johnson, J Boogie graduated from Montclair High School in California, and has attended the Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut. He tries to live every moment to the fullest, as if each day was his last. With rapper Jay-Z as his idol, he strives to become just like him. J Boogie also hopes to be as influential as the rap legend and make a name for himself in the entertainment industry. Also a party lover, J Boogie enjoys listening to rap, hip hop, soul music, jazz, and RnB. He is also fond of sports like basketball, golf, football, baseball, bowling, pool and skating. To win From G’s to Gents, he has to take a breather from the attitude he’s developed and assume a different role. His job will be to transform himself and acquire a new kind of cool.
Growing up in Pomona, California, J Boogie believes that his mentality of “only the strongest survive” comes from his background. He became tough as years passed, when experiences taught him what he knows. He also likes looking at the lighter side of life and having fun, but getting serious when it comes to his goals. He is also set on meeting celebrities like Kanye West, Fabolous, Puff Daddy, Alicia Keys, Beyonc? Knowles and Christina Milian. To get there, he has to make sure that he isn’t only as hardcore as any G, but has enough strategies and the right mix to attain his dreams.
