Renowned model and design enthusiast India Hicks is the host of the second season of BravoTV’s reality game show Top Design. She was born in London on September 5, 1967, as the third child of Lady Pamela Mountbatten and celebrated interior designer David Nightingale Hicks. India was named in honor of her grandfather, Lord Mountbatten, who was the country’s last viceroy.
India Hicks rose to fame as a model during the 1980s and the 1990s, working with famous labels like Gap and Ralph Lauren. She often appears on Tatler magazine as well. Hicks is also a second cousin to Prince Charles of Wales, and is in line to succeed the British Throne. After her work as a model, she moved to the Bahamas with her husband, David Flint Wood. The two founded a boutique at the place and called it The Landing. She was also inspired by her life on the island, to launch Island Living, a line of body and room fragrances for Crabtree and Evelyn.
