Biography

Hugh Marston Hefner was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 9, 1926. He is the founder and editor-in-chief of Playboy magazine, and has become the icon for American sexuality. Hefner served in the U.S. army after elementary school, and earned his psychology degree in the University of Illinois. He worked for several publications before establishing Playboy. Hefner gained notoriety because of his status, and was considered as the world’s most envied womanizer. He became involved with countless women after his divorce from his first wife, Mildred Williams.

Hugh Hefner became known for being on the E! reality TV show, The Girls Next Door, with his three girlfriends, , and . After a while, the girls moved out in pursuit of their own careers and he replaced them with three new girlfriends: Crystal Harris and twins Karissa and Kristina Shannon. The two moved out soon after, but he pursued a relationship with Harris and they got engaged on December 24, 2010.
