Born May 11, 1983, Holly Rachel Vukadinovic is better known by her stage name Holly Valance. Valance is an Australian actress and singer. Valance was born in Melbourne, Australia and was educated at the Star of the Sea College, a Roman Catholic high school in Melbourne. Valance modeled in Australia in her teens, and while modeling she was discovered and landed a role on the long-running, popular Australian soap opera Neighbours. Valance played Felicia “Flick” Scully on the program from 1999 to 2002.
In 2002 Valance left the program to pursue a career in music. Her first single was a cover called “Kiss Kiss,” which debuted at #1 on both the Australian Recording Industry Association and UK Singles charts in the spring of 2002. Valance gained publicity and some controversy for the director's cut version of the music video for “Kiss Kiss,” in which she appeared to be dancing naked, but was in fact wearing flesh-colored undergarments. The song was nominated for four Australian Recording Industry Association Music Awards.
Valance’s next single, "Down Boy" went to #2 in the UK and #3 in Australia. She released her debut album, Footprints, shortly after, and the album went to #9 in the UK and #15 in Australia. The album's third single, "Naughty Girl,” hit #3 in Australia and #16 in the UK.
In 2003, Valance released her second album, State of Mind, which did not reach such high points on the charts. In 2004, Valance returned to acting, this time trying her hand in the United States. Valance landed roles in episodes of several popular American television programs, including CSI: Miami (2004), Entourage (2005), and CSI: NY (2005). Valance later played the supporting role on Nika Volek on the show Prison Breaguest-starred in Prison Break, appearing in five episodes.
In 2006, Valance played opposite Paris Hilton in the National Lampoon comedy Pledge This!. She also starred in DOA: Dead or Alive, an adaptation of the popular video game Dead or Alive, in 2006. In 2007, she appeared on the series Shark and Moonlight, and in 2008, she took a role in the film Taken appeared in an episode of the The CW series Valentine.
