Italian chef Fabio Viviani was born on October 10, 1978 in Florence. There, he trained in Italian and Mediterranean cuisine at IPSSAR Saffi. He is best known for appearing on season 5 of Bravo's reality series Top Chef and earning a place among the final four contestants. Before he was eliminated from the competition, he was named Fan Favorite.
Aside from his stint on the show, he works as the owner of Cafe Firenze, a renowned Italian restaurant in Ventura Country. When he’s not busy promoting healthy eating for children, he works as William Shatner’s private chef. He is also an endorser of Italian mineral water producer San Pellegrino and German frozen pizza producer Dr. Oetker.
In 2009, however, Viviani landed a spot in a docuseries called Fabio: A Catered Affair. The next year, he was called to return to Top Chef and participate in their All-Star edition. He was eliminated in Episode 9, having failed to please their guest judge Jimmy Fallon. He was tasked to prepare one of the comedian's favorite dishes (Hamburger, Melted Cheddar Cheese Sauce, and Fries), but it wasn't up to par.
