American actor Dylan Bruno was born on September 6, 1972 in Milford, Connecticut. He is the son of actor Scott Bruno and the late Nancy M. Bruno, and is the brother of actor Chris Bruno. Dylan graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1994, earning a degree in environmental engineering. While he was a student there, he played varsity football as a linebacker for the MIT team. He wasn’t new to sports, as he was also a nationally ranked wrestler during his high school. He even competed in the AAU Junior Olympic Games several times. In 1995, he became a contender in American Gladiators, making it all the way to the semi-final round. Though defeated by Cpt. Richard McCormick, he continued a career in modeling. He worked for Calvin Klein and appeared on several commercials before he landed professional acting jobs.
Dylan Bruno was taken on as a series regular in the television series High Incident, but made his acting debut on the NBC series High Sierra Search and Rescue. In 1997, he got his breakthrough role on the big screen, appearing in the movie Naked Ambition. The next year, he landed small roles in Saving Private Ryan and When Trumpets Fade. He also landed a part in The Rage: Carrie 2, as well as in Where the Heart Is. In 2001, Bruno got a role in The One, alongside Jet Li and Jason Statham. He was next seen on an episode of Touched by an Angel and was on CSI: Miami. Bruno was also cast as a rock musician on The Simian Line in 2001, and as Harry "Blaine" Mayhugh, Jr. in The Pennsylvania Miners’ Story in 2002. He later became known for playing the rookie FBI agent Colby Granger on the CBS series Numb3rs. He also worked with his brother, Chris, on an episode of The Dead Zone. In 2008, Bruno got a role in the thriller Quid Pro Quo, starring Nick Stahl and Vera Farmiga. Bruno has also done voice-over work for products like Bacardi Silver, Coors Light, Virtual Boy, and Sony Handycam. He is known for narrating the Discovery Channel program Rides as well.
