David Griffin appears as a contestant in the fourth season of the NBC reality television series The Biggest Loser. He is 31 years old and hails from Cedar Hill, Tennessee. He has been described as the quintessential cowboy, working as a rancher with both an affable personality and a drive to be the best that he can be. He is married and is the father of four children, and has been called highly dedicated to his family. The only main dilemma he sees in his life is his weight problem, which he plans to tackle head-on with the proper health regimen. What inspires him to succeed in this venture is the thought of being able to play with his offspring and being with them as they grow into adulthood.
David, who is 6'0", went from weighing 368 pounds to 312 pounds before he was eliminated on week 8. On the live finale, David weighed in at 228 pounds, having lost a total of 140 pounds and 38.04% of his total body weight.
