American comedian and actor Dave Coulier was born on September 21, 1959 in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. A graduate of Notre Dame High School, he was known for doing stand-up comedy during lunch hours and for impersonating the school principal over the PA system. He has worked extensively as a voiceover artist for numerous animated series such as The Real Ghostbusters, Muppet Babies, Scooby and Scrappy Doo, The Jetsons, and Extreme Ghostbusters. One of his most well-known live roles was as Joey Gladstone in the classic sitcom Full House. Coulier has also worked on The Even Stevens Movie and The Surreal Life. He is allegedly the ex-lover of singer Alanis Morissette and the topic of her song “You Oughta Know.”
Joey Gladstone is portrayed by Dave Coulier in the classic family comedy series Full House. The best friend of father figure Danny, he goes to live with the Tanner family after Danny’s wife Pamela passes away, in order to help his buddy raise three daughters. Joey works as a professional comedian, performing at various clubs and doing impressions of celebrities and cartoon characters. He typically schemes together with Jesse on several business ventures, such as working together as ad executives before starting up their own agency. He’s also fond of toys, cartoons and anything usually targeted at kids, and once hosted the children’s TV program The Ranger Joe Show.
