Biography

Cody Belew is a member of Cee Lo Green's team on The Voice season 3.

With a belief that he was an old black woman in his past life, Belew's soul sound is influenced by Dolly Parton, James Brown, Aretha Franklin and Elvis Presley. Apart from music, his interests include playing tennis and rock climbing.

Belew was eliminated during the Top 8 results show on "The Voice" season 3.

Fun Facts

During the blind auditions, Belew sang "Hard to Handle" by Otis Redding. Cee Lo was the only judge to push the button for him.

He won his battle round singing "Telephone" by Lady Gaga against Domo and then won his knockout round singing "Jolene" by Dolly Parton against Avery Wilson.

During the playoff round, he sang "One More Try" by George Michael. Despite not getting the most votes, judge Cee Lo chose to save him.

He performed "The Best" by Tina Turner for his Top 12 performance and was voted through to the next round.

Belew then pulled a showstopping performance when he sang "Crazy in Love" by Beyonce for his Top 10 performance and was once again voted to the next round.

For the next round, Belew performed "Somebody to Love" by Queen. However, he got voted off from the competition the next results show.
