Clyde Ace Amerson was featured as a member of the cast in the thirteenth season of the MTV reality television series The Real World, which was set in Paris, France. He was born on March 22, 1979, and originally hails from his hometown of Statesboro in Georgia. During the time of the show he was 24 years old and in his sixth year of college at Georgia Southwestern University, where he was pursuing a major for senior marketing. Amerson was also a member of the Kappa Alpha Order fraternity, and was described as an “eternal frat boy” who was in no rush to grow up and face responsibilities.
He was also the co-owner of three bars in college, pegging him as a successful entrepreneur and businessman even at a young age. Amerson was highly fond of the partying lifestyle and the easily flowing drinks that came with his business, though he had undergone severe difficulties in his life before, such as the death of his mother. Nevertheless, he says he did not let himself indulge in self-pity and learned to move on past the loss. Later on, Amerson would participate in Real World / Road Rules challenges such as The Inferno, Battle of the Sexes, and The Gauntlet.
