Christina Mae Chambers, who was born on October 24, 1969, in Alexandria, Virginia, grew up in a family of academics. She admitted that she was a tomboy at heart and that she was never really conscious about how she looked. Being active in sports during her high school years, she was part of the girls track team, and played soccer and softball as well.
Chambers studied Shakespeare at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. and spent a semester in Stratford on Avon, spending some time with the Royal Shakespeare Company and performing on productions such as King Lear and Romeo and Juliet. While in New York, she was spotted by a commercial agent who quickly signed her up. She accidentally ended up signing with a modeling agent as well, immediately getting a start in the industry. She later met her acting agent during a New York showcase, and her acting career began to take shape.
In 1998, Christina Chambers appeared as Maria Torres-Evans on the NBC series Sunset Beach. She landed the part after her auditions, later adjusting to the lifestyle brought about by an acting career. She next guest-starred on G vs E in 2000, and became known as Vicki Mercer on an episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. While appearing on a Coors Light commercial, she landed a role in the series Glory Days. After her time on Sunset Beach, she was cast in the MTV show Spyder Games. Her other appearances include those in As the World Turns, The Parkers, Two and a Half Men, Half & Half, Bones and Shark. In 2007, she joined the cast of the ABC soap opera One Life to Live, as the character Marty Saybrooke, the sole heiress of the family fortune. Chambers has also gotten guest spots on Exes & Ohs, Cane and Shark.
