Carlos Casanova comes from Astoria, New York, but originally hails from Puerto Rico. He became known for being a contestant on the eighth season of Project Runway, where he finished tenth place. He was eliminated on episode 7, wherein he had to work with fellow designer Gretchen. He has since continued designing for his own line, CasanovaNYC.
