Carlos Olivero is featured as a contestant in the MTV network’s competitive reality television series Making Menudo. He is 17 years old and hails from the streets of Chicago, IL. Carlos is known for creating his own beats and is an expert at freestyle, able to keep up with the hottest and best amongst his peers. Coming from a family of Mexican heritage, he combines his background traits with the smarts he’s attained from living in Chicago. Being one of the older contestants and cast members, Carlos is portrayed as the confident and cool older brother figure that several of the others look up to, and tries to keep the younger guys working well together.
But on the other hand, he still faces questions of self-doubt and insecurity as to whether his streetwise knowledge will be enough for him to go pro and pursue his dreams of singing and performing. With this in mind, he hopes to prove his worth and responsibility to the judges in order to land one of the coveted slots in the future five members of Menudo.
