Biography

Warren Anderson Mathis, a.k.a. Bubba Sparxxx, appears as one of the rapper mentors in the MTV reality television competition series Celebrity Rap Superstar. His celebrity apprentice on the show is Jason Wahler . He is a Southern rapper who was born on March 6, 1977 in LaGrange, Georgia. His specific style is mixing together traditional country sound with rap, and he is said by some to be a pioneer country rapper. Among his more well-known songs are “Ugly,” “Deliverance,” and “Ms. New Booty” which featured the Ying Yang Twins and went as high as number seven on the charts in the United States.

His first commercial CD release titled Dark Days, Bright Nights was moderately successful in Georgia, attracting the attention of Interscope Records co-founder James Iovine. After signing with Interscope, Mathis began collaborating with other record producers such as Organized Noize and Timbaland. He was also featured on Archie Eversole’s “We Ready” in 2002, which was played often during sports events and basketball matches. His later albums include Deliverance and The Charm. Aside from his musical career, he has worked on the video games Def Jam: Fight for NY and Madden 2004. He has also worked together with other musicians such as Limp Bizkit, Justin Timberlake, and Heather Hunter.
