Brad Dourif was born on March 18, 1950 in Huntington, West Virginia. This Academy Award nominated actor was popularly known for portraying disturbed and unbalanced character roles. He studied acting at the Aiken Preparatory School in Aiken, South Carolina. He moved to New York to pursue acting professionally, appearing in off-Broadway productions like The Ghost Sonata and The Doctor in Spite of Himself. He also starred in the film When You Comin' back, Red Ryder? This earned him a Golden Globe for Best Actor Debut and a British Academy Award for Supporting Actor. In addition, he became part of the television series Deadwood as Doc Cochran.
