Designer Bert Keeter comes from California, and first realized his potential as a designer back in high school. His teacher told him to take up courses in Parsons School of Design and he has since worked as a fashion designer and freelancer, working with photographers and interior designers. Having also studied at the New School in NYC, he has been employed at Holly Harp, Bill Blass, Arnold Scaasi and Halston. Soon, he received a nomination to become a member of the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America. However, he didn’t pursue the opportunity. Instead, he soon found himself auditioning for Project Runway and became a contestant in season 9 as one of 20 designers hoping to make it big in the industry.
