Aras Baskauskas Biography:
Born on September 26, 1981, Aras Baskauskas finished his undergraduate program in three years and obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from the University of California. He was deemed one of UC Irvine's "Most Eligible Bachelors" in the student newspaper in 2003. Baskauskas used to play professional basketball, having played NCAA Men's Division One basketball as a student, as well as having played briefly overseas in Lithuania. After his basketball career, Aras moved to Capetown, South Africa, where he established a donation-based yoga studio. He currently works as a yoga instructor in Santa Monica, California. His favorite activities include meditation, golf and surfing. He describes himself as outgoing, compassionate and genuine.
After spending 38 days as a contestant on Survivor: Panama-Exile Island, Baskauskas emerged as the Sole Survivor, having acquired 5 votes from the jury, beating his fellow tribe member, Danielle DiLorenzo
, by three votes. The majority of the jury felt that Baskauskas' perfomance throughout the competition was more honest and strategic-based, making him more deserving to win the title and one million dollars.
