Actress Allison Glenn Scagliotti-Smith was born on September 21, 1990 in Monterey, California. She took interest in acting while growing up in Mandeville, Louisiana, when she became active in her school’s drama club. She earned a reputation for being an excellent actress in school; during one such performance, she was spotted by an agent and signed her up for small roles in television commercials. By the time, the family decided to move back to California and nurture her budding acting career.

Scagliotti made her television debut in 2002, first honing her craft in television movies. She got her big break in 2004, when she took a recurring role in the Nickelodeon series Drake & Josh, appearing as Josh’s rival—and later girlfriend—Mindy Crenshaw. She also had recurring roles in One Tree Hill, Grounded for Life and Gemini Divison as well as shorter guest stints in Zoey 101, ER, CSI and Mental. She made her feature film debut in 2007, when she appeared as the lead in the independent drama Redemption Maddie; it earned her Best Actress accolades at the Bend Film Festival. She also starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie Read It and Weep. She is set to star in the upcoming Sci Fi series Warehouse 13.
