Alison Ann Sweeney was born on September 19, 1976 in Los Angeles, California. She is best known for her portrayal of Samantha "Sami" Gene Brady on the soap opera Days of Our Lives. She won four Soap Opera Digest Awards for this role and a Fan Voted Daytime Emmy Award. She started out acting in a Kodak advertisement. In the 1990's, she struggled with her weight, being a little big bigger than her television peers. She later slimmed down and do!$#!#ented her experience in her 2004 memoir, All The Days of My Life (So Far). She appeared in 2002's celebrity episode of Fear Factor where she was placed in a coffin with large flatworms, Madagascar hissing !$#!#roaches and millipedes. Sweeney is married to David Sanov with whom she has a son with.
Samantha "Sami" Gene Brady is played by Alison Sweeney in Days of Our Lives. Sami is the daughter of Marlena Evans and was named after her mother's dead sister. Eric is Sami’s twin brother. While working as a candy striper at the hospital in Salem where she learned to read blood tests, Sami was attached with Austin Reed, her older sister’s boyfriend. In order to hide the fact that her father wasn’t the father of her mother's new baby, she tampered with the blood tests as to not hurt her father with the truth.
