Born David Amerman, 12 Pack is a personal trainer and coach who had nine jobs all at once. The Bergen County, New Jersey native has also been known as a funny man. He even dated a daughter of a mob boss who threatened to shoot him.
David "12 Pack" Amerman appeared as one of 20 contestants on VH1's reality series, I Love New York. This Bachelor-style dating show features Tiffany Pollard, better known as New York, in her quest to find true love. He was sent packing after New York overheard her say that the only reason he joined the show is to further her show business career, that he was excited on how “famous” he was going to be right after it. He also became victim to a lot of nasty rumors about his sexuality. It included an ex-girlfriend of his admitting that 12 Pack once worked as a stripper in a gay bar. He has consistently denied these rumors, however.
Although he was eliminated from I Love New York on its seventh episode, he said his own show is in the works. As for more definite plans after I Love New York, he said he would eventually be moving to Los Angeles to get into more serious acting jobs.
12 Pack was also one of the 25 contestants on the first season of VH1's I Love Money, which featured returning contestants from past VH1 reality shows such as Flavor of Love, I Love New York, and Rock of Love with Bret Michaels. The 25 compete in physical and mental challenges en route to a grand prize of $250,000. 12 Pack was eliminated in episode 8.
In 2009, 12 Pack returned to VH1 vying for a chance at love with Daisy de la Hoya in her own spin-off, Daisy of Love. He placed third among the contestants and has since returned to his job.
