'Survivor: Redemption Island': What do you think?

Survivor introduces a new twist when the 22nd season kicks off in February: Redemption Island. When one's voted off, nobody goes home yet; instead, they move to Redemption Island, where they live alone until someone else arrives. The two then face off until the one who survives the longest returns to the game. What do you think of the new twist? Does it work, or is it tinkering too much with the Survivor format?

1. Weren't Russell and Rob supposed to be on this season? and 2. if they were why wasn't it announced? LASTLY-I'm not to sure how I feel about the twist...

I was expecting that too (especially when Rob showed up during the reunion show) but I guess that was just really wild speculation... anyway I'm pretty interested in this twist. It surely doesn't look anything like the Medallion of Power.

The medallion of power was a lame twist that really had nothing to do with anything. And while it may have been wild speculation it seems that enough of the "spoilers" that have been released I'm still not completely counting it out. Also the theme of redemption does fit both players.

I think I will love this twist. BUT it depends on the players. Had they used this twist in this season, I would have hated it. But if the players are good, likable, it should be fun to watch. As for Russell and Rob, I wouldn't mind seeing Rob again, but Russell...oh God.
