I broke up with Private Practice. Shame on the writers for turning those characters into selfish self-centered people. Seriously, how could someone not have taken Betsy? Why would they write such a connection between Violet and Betsy that I know many of us enjoyed as a sign of the future for both of them - and then have Pete turn into a total a** and refuse to adopt her. And what's up with the Violet character? Why would the writers allow her character to turn her back on what she knew was right. That's the best part of her character - her unapologetic independence. Shame on the writers. I watched one more week to give them an opportunity to redeem themselves and they did not. I cancelled my recording. They have written characters I can no longer respect or like.

I broke up with PP when Violet's baby was cut out of her body. It was just too much. Also, that season, Addison proved that she is beyond redemption--a constant cheater w/ no self control (when she was about to screw her patient's husband on a couch). So, congrats to you for breaking up with the show. I stopped watching because I completely agree with your statement: "They have written characters I can no longer respect or like."
