Is there anybody who didn't like the ending?

Report
I watched LOST from the the start till the end, and to tell you the truth I didn't like the end. There are so many unsolved stories and so many characters that are totally irrelevant. For example how did Dharma came on the island? Ok with a sub, but how they found it? Who is a stepmom of Jacob and a black guy? And that spring in the center of the island? I expected some scientific explanation, but ok religious and with veil of mystery...And the statue on the island? Anubis a jackal-headed god associated with mummification and the afterlife in Egyptian mythology. Why? It looked good and mysterious...wow...Jacob lived there. Why the black smoke didn't kill Mr Echo at first? He killed him few episodes later. So if there is somebody that shares my opinion please do reply.

Dharma found the island via The LampPost if I'm not mistaken. Plus Jacob has 'guided' people to the island in the past. The Mother also says men have come to the island for centuries. So it's known that humans can find the island. The stepmom was the protector of the island. She passed the job to Jacob after MIB went to live with the others. The spring is the heart of the island, the source of the light, or energy, or whatever you want to call it. It's a metaphor. The island is very old, so it's safe to assume Egyptians built the statue. Perhaps to try and persuade the fertility gods to allow women to carry children to term? That isn't exactly clear. Jacob later made it his home. I think Eko was killed once the MIB felt he couldn't use him as a means to his end. I also read somewhere that the actor decided he no longer wanted to be on the show, so the writers needed to get rid of him somehow.

Yeah, but all that are assumptions, and there is not any explanation or proofs for the Egyptians built that statue, and the fact, because I`m familiar with Egyptian Art and they didn't had any Anubis sculptures, only 2D paintings of him. Or how men in past founded the island, and how his stepmom got there. And a spring being a metaphor I don`t think so, because metaphors can`t kill :) But you didn't reply the topic...Do you like the ending or not?

Bravo red flower!!! Finally someone! Everybody were overwhelmed with the end, but for me it's stupid, and every season promised that the end would be something spectacular, a fireworks but truly it was a bb gun. But not only Kate and Claire, Lapidus, Sawyer, Miles, Ricardius :) they all went off the Island with a plane. Where to, nobody knows, but Jack`s father told him in a church that some of that people died before him, and some long after him...

@BustBros. Not sure what you've been reading, but there has been tons of negative feedback about the finale, here and elsewhere. I for one liked it but I can see why some people may not have.

Ok Mcblab fair enough...All I`v been reading is fairytale junk of the ending something like:"the most beautiful ending in total television history..." or "the perfect finale" why in order to be good, a film or a TV show must have a happy end? The ending was a disappointment for all true lost fans :) like a quote from Amazing Grace: I once was LOST but now am found...
