Leigh began working as a model when she was in the eighth grade, and later moved on to acting.
Chyler Leigh became known for her appearances on several commercials, as well as in the syndicated teen news show Hals Pass. She made her debut in the film Kickboxing Academy in 1997, when she was only 15 years old. She next received a leading role as Janey Briggs in Not Another Teen Movie. After a brief stint on North Shore, she went back to the ABC network to play Lexie Grey in Grey’s Anatomy. She first appeared as a woman at the Emerald City Bar who wanted to pick up Derek Shepherd, played by Patrick Dempsey.
