Despite all the doubt that has been cast over their relationship,
Zoey 101 star and soon-to-be-mom
Jamie Lynn Spears and boyfriend Casey Aldridge are still together. The two lovebirds went shopping at a mall in McComb, Mississippi on Saturday, according to the New York Post's
Page Six.
Spears, known famously as Zoey Brooks on
Zoey 101, was seen wearing a baggy sweatshirt and walking side by side with Aldridge, who was holding a shopping bag from a sporting goods shop. Page Six reporters threw questions at the couple, but they remained tight-lipped as they headed to their vehicle. Aldridge, however, did say that all is “pretty good” when asked if everything was OK between them.
Page Six also spotted Spears and her beau at Kentwood, Louisiana the following day. The two came out of an Auto Zone store hand-in-hand, with the 16-year-old actress dressed in a white t-shirt that revealed a small baby bump.
While everything seems peachy-keen between Spears and Aldridge, reports of a growing tiff between the
Zoey 101 star and her mother, Lynne Spears, continue to circulate. Recently, the
Chicago Sun-Times claimed that a source told them Spears has decided to leave Louisiana and move to Los Angeles. The paper also reported that Spears intends to get hitched to Aldridge, whom Lynne firmly disapproves of.
Adding to the tension is Jamie Lynn Spears' paternal grandfather, June Austin Spears, who is accusing Lynne of hiding the pregnant teen star. June is claiming that his daughter-in-law is refusing to accept the fact that Spears is with child.
"Lynne keeps Jamie Lynn hidden,” the 77-year-old June told
The New York Daily News. “She is in denial about the pregnancy. She thinks it's just going to go away. But it's not. It's going to get bigger and bigger."
Meanwhile, Jamie Lynn Spears' older sister, pop artist Britney Spears, continues to face troubles of her own. She has been in and out of treatment facilities, and is still in the middle of an ugly custody battle with ex-hubby Kevin Federline.
