African-American Christopher Massey was born on January 26, 1990. This native of Atlanta, Georgia is the older brother of another teen actor, Kyle Massey, who plays Cory on Disney's That's So Raven. Before his current role in Nickelodeon's Zoey 101, Chris was doing commercials and starred in the movies Big Mama's House and Passing Glory. He also did voice-over roles for Death to Smoochie and Stuart Little II. Chris is also known for his Broadway stint as Simba in The Lion King.

Michael Barrett is the best friend of Chase Matthews. He, along with Chase and Logan Reese, are roommates at the Pacific Coast Academy. All of them are in the school's basketball team. Among the three of them, Michael is the most athletic. He fervently wishes that Chase would already confess to Zoey about his true feelings for her.
