Zoey 101 star and mom-to-be Jamie Lynn Spears has been staying under the radar since she announced her pregnancy in December, but somehow has not been able to escape being the subject of negative publicity.

Star magazine recently reported of defaming statements made by Spears' alleged peers from her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana.  One teen revealed that the Zoey 101 actress had actually been involved with several other boys aside from Casey Aldridge, the baby's father.

“I know for a fact that Casey was not the first guy she slept with — or the last,” the teen source told Star.  “There were at least two others.  I know that 110 percent.”

Another peer told the magazine that Jamie Lynn Spears even tried to hook up with a boy she met at a party despite already being involved with Aldridge and days before she announced she was going to be a mother.

“It's cool; I'm pregnant,” Spears supposedly said.  “I can't get pregnant again!”

A “friend” of the young star, meanwhile, commented on her wild partying habits, saying that before she came out with her pregnancy, she had drinking heavily in the hopes of forgetting the troubles her family – which include mom Lynne and older sister Britney – has been experiencing.

“Some people drink to have a good time,” the pal said.  “But she drank to get wrecked.  She drank to get messed up and forget about her mother, her sister and all of that.”

Star's report comes in the wake of singer-actress Miley Cyrus' kinder and more encouraging words about Jamie Lynn Spears.  Cyrus, star of the hit Disney tween series, Hannah Montana, told Us magazine that her fellow teen star is “excited” about the baby.

"We've actually been talking.  She's now really excited, so I'm proud of her,” Cyrus said.  “I think she's done the best she can.”

Spears is still appearing onscreen, playing the title character of Zoey 101, which is now on its fourth and final season.
