When the third season of
Weeds concluded with a scene of a burned down Agrestic neighborhood, actress
Elizabeth Perkins feared that she and several other cast members will be written off the show. However, all her worries immediately vanished as she started to shoot for the fourth season of the dark comedy series.
"It was so funny, when we read the finale we all sort of stopped and looked at each other and said, 'Does this mean I'm not coming back?' But we're scheduled to do 13 episodes, we're heading into episode three, and a large portion of the cast is still on our show," Perkins, who portrays Celia Hodes on
Weeds, told the
National Ledger.

It'll blow if the show is changed too much.

Can't wait to see season 4! I just love this show. The writers are very creative. The acting is top not...
After last season's cliffhanger ending, the new season will now follow Nancy Botwin (
Mary-Louise Parker) as she relocates her family, possibly to a beach near the San Diego/Mexican border.
"Nancy's on the run, and where she'll end up nobody knows. So they're figuring out ways to keep us involved with Nancy," Perkins added.
Meanwhile, the entire cast of
Weeds is being kept under the dark when it comes to their characters storylines. But Perkins, whose credits include
He Said, She Said, The Flintstones, Moonlight and Valentino and
About Last Night, reveals that she does know that her character is going to be in deep trouble when the show returns with new episodes beginning June 16.
“Celia is in hot water because everybody's pointing the finger at her because her house was where the pot was," she hinted. "But we're being kept very much in the dark. It really keeps it interesting. It's like doing a one-act play, and every Friday you don't know what your one-act play is going to be."
Weeds also stars
Alexander Gould, Allie Grant, Andy Milder,
Hunter Parrish,
Justin Kirk,
Kevin Nealon,
Romany Malco, and
Tonye Patano.
