'Ugly Betty's Christopher Gorham Climbing 'The Ledge'
'Ugly Betty's Christopher Gorham Climbing 'The Ledge'
From television to a big-screen thriller, Christopher Gorham has come a long way since he played the dorky Henry on Ugly Betty.  Sources say that he's been cast on the upcoming movie The Ledge.  That is, considering the writers have decided not to use him for the finale of this ABC comedy.

Reuters reports that Christopher Gorham will be joining the likes of Liv Tyler, Terrence Howard and Patrick Wilson for the film.  Leading the pack is Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam, who will be portraying the title character.

The story of The Ledge is that of a man (Hunnam) standing on a high-rise ledge, waiting for the right time to jump.  According to him, he'll leap off the building by noon if they don't manage to convince him to live.

Below him stands a policeman (Howard), trying his best to manage the situation.  Meanwhile, the man also causes trouble for his roommate (Gorham), who is a television editor.  Does that mean he's seeing the situation as a possible pilot premise?

Anyway, Christopher Gorham's character on The Ledge still sounds like a pretty geeky role for him.  But seeing as how the movie is a thriller, we're certainly looking forward to it.  The actor already managed to act like a suspicious and obsessed maniac on the show Harper's Island, so there's a chance he'll pull this off on the big screen.

The cast and crew of The Ledge have already begun filming in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  No premiere date has been announced yet, although we'll be keeping our eyes open for it.

The premise of the movie seems intriguing enough, and I can't wait to see how they'd make that simple idea movie-length.  Perhaps most of the film's told in flashbacks or something.  Whatever the case, we're hoping Christopher Gorham does as good a job there as he's done on Ugly Betty.
