Matthew Riddle is a former New York State and National High School Wrestling Champion.  He was second in the NAGA World's after only a few months of training in submission.  Later, he captured the 190 lb Advanced titles at several competitions, such as NAGA's Battle at the Beach in August 2007, Grapplers Quest in October 2007, and Coppa Atlantica BJJ Championship the following month.  In between, he also won his first mixed martial arts match at the Mohegan Sun's Battle at the Sun II on September by way of key lock in the first round.  Riddle, who is dubbed “The Answer,” is also a wrestling and mixed martial arts instructor at the Rat Pack Fight Systems, a traditional martial arts academy in Palmerton, Pennsylvania.

Matthew Riddle is part of the cast of reality mixed martial arts competition The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rampage vs. Team Forrest on Spike TV.  This latest installment features 32 middleweight fighters who will vie for a six-figure, multi-fight contract with the organization Ultimate Fighting Championship.  The cast is immediately trimmed down to the final 16 fighters to move in the house.  For this season, the fighters are divided into two teams, each coached by UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton Jackson and Light heavyweight number 1 contender and season 1 winner Forrest Griffin. According to viewers, Matthew Riddle could be a guy to look out for.
